Since 2011 the European Union seeks to negotiate and sign free trade agreements with Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco and Jordan. Officially the integration into the European single market should strengthen the process of democratic and economic reform and help these countries to establish a strong growth regime and benefit from rising living standards. On April 18th the Sektion 8 of the Austrian Social Democratic Party discusses the issue of these free trade agreements and its potential adverse side effects on the population together with Bruno Ciccaglione starting at 19:00 at Café Winter (Alserstraße 30, 1090). A German summary of the talk can be found on our Blog.
